Design a Recipe for Social Impact

Allan Chochinov is the Chair and co-founder of the SVA MFA in Products of Design Program. He writes widely on design education and the impact of design on contemporary culture. He is also the editor-in-chief of Core77, the highly creative destination for design inspirations and feature websites doing it right in the design space. In a new TEDxArt video he discusses how design is an equation and the proportion between things. Using the restaurant metaphor, Allan Chochinov presents a humorous and clever critique on design.

“Make discursive, transgressive, critical work that blends art with making. Pay as much attention to subjects as to objects, and verbs as much as nouns.”
