In 2010 filmmaker, Eliot Rausch won the grand prize at the Vimeo Festival + Awards and received a 25k grant to make a new film. He created “LIMBO” a powerful documentary told from the perspective of three undocumented students living in the United States without legal status. Never having touched a camera, these 3 students were gifted with a small handycam and trained for half a day by Lukas Korver and Matt B. Taylor on how to best document their lives everyday for 3 months. After providing a means of determination to a group of deserving students, Eliot created this 19 minute film that truly reveals the art of humanity.
