An Animated Comparison of Paris vs. New York

Filmmaker and animator – Tony Miotto has turned the popular graphical book ‘Paris vs New York‘ by Vahram Muratyan, into a video animation. The staple trademarks, the symbolic representations of the cities and the physical landmarks that make each of the locations unique, are sequenced next to each-other to give a side by side animated comparison.

This is really smart and really fun to watch. Through really clean and really friendly animation we are reminded that in Paris they have an abundance of baguette and in New York they have an overload of bagels. In New York there is the Le Desmoiselles, in Paris there is the Mona Lisa. Take the subway to get a sweet cupcake in New York and you take the metro to get a delicious macaroon in Paris.

Watch this animation and decide does Paris or does New York look more compelling to you?
