In this installment of THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES the focus is on artist David LaChapelle and art curator Reiner Opoku and the subject discussed is on Reinventing Yourself. Reiner Opoku tells us how a person with an open and artistic mind can always transform and reinvent themselves, after-all that is what makes one an avant-garde artist. In describing an artist that is always open to change and new expression, Opoku goes on to explain how David LaChapelle has definitely managed to do that by redefining his signature style from the 90′s of loud portraits of pop culture icons, to the work he has done in more recent years of fine art and flower paintings reinterpreted and curated in high-end galleries around the world.
