The State of Wikipedia

We have to say, Wikipedia is truly one of the most important websites on the internet. Getting lost in a wiki-hole happens to the smartest of all of us. You know when you get click happy and you find yourself on the Wikipedia page for The Beatles, then the next you thing you know you are reading about blackbirds, then an hour later you understand how pigeons give birth? Point is, we rely on Wikipedia and the wiki’s to provide us with the facts and information on just about anything we want to know. The State of Wikipedia is an animated short about the founding of Wikipedia and how it has evolved over its first ten years. Celebrating the wonders and back story of Wikipedia narrated by Wikipedia’s founder Jimmy Wales, and animated by Jess3 (the agency behind the excellent ESPN’s TV Ratings 101 with puppets). This short animation explains the details and decisions that grew Wikipedia from a small side project into the online mega-resource that it is today.
